11,000 Consumer Compliance Examination Hours.
What Would You Do With them?
NCUA's budget calls for 11 New Consumer Compliance Examiners.
While a Full Time Employee equates to 2,080 hours (52*40) for a full year the "productive hours" are about 1,000 per employee (this deducts for leave training, travel etc).
So some rough justice estimates:
If NCUA budgets 32 Hours per credit union - these new staff can perform roughly 343 exam contacts.
If NCUA budgets 64 hours per credit union - these new staff can perform roughly 171 exam contacts.
This also assumes these 11 new staff are available all year meaning this isn't fully operational until 2025 even though they are in the 2024 budget.
