Oh Sure... Sure...Go Along to Get Along

When I was at NCUA we would hear through trade associations that credit unions feared retaliation. We would ask for specifics as we could not really do anything without knowing the name of the credit union.


Until I changed teams and began consulting I didn't realize that quite frequently that CEOs had to decide if they were going to simply go along to get along.


Intentions are nearly always good on both sides - but the path of least resistance is taken to avoid confrontation more often than I ever knew.
